HAM & WHITE BEANS
- one lb package of northern dried beans
- ham bones, hocks, hocks, or diced ham (about 1 pound)
- two teaspoons onion powder
- six cups of water
- salt and pepper to taste
HOW TO DO:
Rinse and sort beans for pebbles.
Add rinsed beans, onion powder, salt, pepper and ham to slow cooker.
Cover and cook over low heat for about eight hours, until the beans are tender.
Remove the ham bone, shanks or shanks and remove the meat.
Add the meat to the slow cooker and mix.
Serve with cornbread.
